Vanilla Sponge Cake Recipe

A soft, moist sponge cake with a lemony glaze!

Cake Ingredients:

1 cup butter, room temperature

1 1/4 cup white sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

4 large eggs Lemon peel

2 1/2 cup all purpose flour, sifted

3 tsp bakin powder

1/2 tsp spice or cinammon

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup full cream milk

Glaze Ingredients:

1/2 cup icing sugar

2 tsp water

3-4 drops lemon juice

*All ingredients should be at room temperature

*Spoon flour into measuring cup and level off for accurate measurement

*Only mix in flour until incorporated, do not overmix

Bake at 340° for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean
