Milk Barfi

This milk barfi is crumbly, rich and decadent. The ginger and cardamom add a dept of flavor and balances out the sweetness. This Indian delicacy is the perfect dessert!

Ingredients:
5 cups powdered milk
1/4 tsp ground cardamom / elichie
1 tsp finely grated ginger (or less if desired)
1/2 cup Nestlé cream

Syrup:
1 1/3 cup water
1 2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp gound cardamom
1 1/2 tsp finely grated ginger (or less if desired)

The syrup takes roughly 25-30 minutes on a medium heat to reach the desired consistency. On a higher heat it may finish faster, so do keep a close check on it.

Place the barfi in an 8×11″ dish to set.

Recipe makes roughly 36 pieces.
