Crème Caramel

A simple recipe for a sweet, delicious Crème Caramel or Custard Flan!

Ingredients:

Caramel:

5 tbsp water

1/2 cup granulated sugar

Custard:

3 large eggs

1 large egg yolk

2 tsp lemon juice

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

3/4 cup carnation milk

1 cup whipping cream (or substitute with 1 cup carnation milk)

3/4 cup condensed milk (1/4 tsp finely grated ginger – optional)

Bake in a water bath, in a preheated oven at 340°: 6″ pan – 1 hour, 10 minutes 7″ pan – 1 hour 8″ pan – 50 minutes 9″ pan – 40 minutes

*Best served chilled

*The center will remain a little wobbly even when fully cooked. Do not over-bake
