Trini Rasgulla (Rasgoola), known also as Gulab Jamoon, is a delicious milk based Indian sweet, soaked in a spiced syrup. It’s soo good, it’s impossible to eat just one!
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups powdered milk
4 tsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup carnation milk
2 tbsp Ghee
4 cups vegetable oil, for frying (fill pot to a 1 1/2″ depth)
Syrup:
1 1/2 cup water
2 cups granulated sugar
2-3 tsp grated ginger
3-4 cardamom pods OR 1 tsp ground cardamom
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
Recipe makes 20-24 Rasgulla balls.
